“I wish to swim in a warm sea“
Christopher has been living with an osteosarcoma and when our wish granters came to visit him he knew just what his wish was: to swim in a warm sea. Knowing that Christopher is also a history buff, we thought that a visit to Crete might just fit the bill. With the help of Make-A-Wish Greece, we prepared a fun-filled one week trip for Christopher, his dad, sister and two brothers. Upon arrival in Athens, Christopher and his family were welcomed by
volunteers from Make-A-Wish Greece who spent two lovely days taking
them around the historical sites of the city, accompanied as well by a
local guide.
 | Then, off they flew to Crete for a few days by the sea in a magnificent hotel. Christopher, delighted, swam often and enjoyed the sun's warmth. One special outing was aboard a power yacht and the captain gave the wheel to Christopher who enjoyed driving it. |
On their return to Athens the family enjoyed some more visits to beauty spots and bought lots of souvenirs to take home.
