Who we are

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Switzerland and Liechtenstein was founded in the summer of 2003. We are a dedicated team of staff and volunteers committed to making a real difference in the lives of the children for whom we grant wishes.

THE TEAM AND BOARD



Fiona Morrison – CEO

In 1996, Alexander, the son of Fiona’s best friend, was diagnosed with leukaemia. Make-A-Wish granted his dream to go to Disneyland. Fiona never forgot the joy and tremendously beneficial impact this wish had on Alexander's fight to beat his illness - which he did! The power of this wish also gave the family respite and laughter. Fiona promised herself that the day Make-A-Wish came to Switzerland she would be a part of it.

With a degree in anthropology and economics, Fiona's career in finance and marketing, in both the private and public sector, allows her to bring a wealth of experience and dedication to ensuring we are able to increasingly grant the cherished wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness.

Anne Fistarol – Wish Granting Co-ordinator

After a solid career in the private sector, notably in project management and event organisation, Anne's wish to work in a more humanitarian environment, which cares for children, finally became true when she joined Make-A-Wish to help grant magical wishes!

Convinced that dreams enable human beings to overcome hardships and help them through their daily lives, Anne wanted to join the Make-A-Wish team in order to help the Foundation achieve its goals. Enabling children to have their dearest wish granted is close to Anne's heart.

Anne co-ordinates and monitors the granting of ill childrens' wishes throughout Switzerland. She is simultaneously undertaking a course in specialised social work.

Christine Marmet - Administration Manager

With a long-standing experience in administrative management working for various finance companies, Christine Marmet's role today is to ensure that the administrative aspects of our wishes are managed efficiently and in a timely manner. A mother of two teenage boys, Christine is highly motivated in working for a Foundation which helps children in need.

Irène - Senior Volunteer

The joy of giving joy and hope is what volunteering at Make A Wish is all about with the added and most significant bonus of a great back-up team.

Thanks for what has been accomplished so far, the motivation, the enriching and learning experiences and for all the projects and wishes to come.

Madelon - Senior Volunteer

Madelon has a professional background in Human Resources. When she moved to from Holland to Switzerland she decided to devote her free time to something meaningful.

Extremely touched by the work of Make-A-Wish, Madelon chose to help our team with granting extraordinary wishes to extraordinary children. Madelon has granted many wishes since June 2008, working with other volunteers. She grants each wish with great care and love.

Madelon says that working for Make-A-Wish is the most rewarding “job” she has ever had.
